Irish Coffee? Hot cocoa with schnapps? Hot toddy? Come on over….we’ll get you warmed up right quick.
Hot toddy drinks originated in India, produced by fermenting the sap of palm trees. The earliest known use is made of alcoholic liquor with hot water, sugar, and spices originating about 1786. Let us make a warm delicious drink just for you.
Our Specialties?
The Good Old-Fashioned Kind.
WHY A BLOODY MARY BAR?
Because We Can.
You can’t really go wrong with a drink made of vodka, tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, celery and olives. Or maybe hot sauce, sauce, garlic and horseradish, salt, black pepper, lemon juice, lime juice. Some people even add bacon…because bacon, like a good pair of boots, goes with everything.
According to Wikipedia, Fernand Petiot claimed to have invented the Bloody Mary in 1921, well before any of the later claims, according to his grand-daughter. He was working at the New York Bar in Paris at the time, which later became Harry’s New York Bar, a frequent Paris hangout for Ernest Hemingway and other American expatriates. The original cocktail is said to have been created on the spur-of-the-moment, according to the bar’s own traditions, consisting only of vodka and tomato juice.
Our Bloody Mary Bar offers endless possibilities to personalize your drink. Create a new one every time you brunch with us!
Vodka also stars in Screwdrivers and Greyhounds. Mixed with orange and grapefruit juices, there’s the added benefit of Vitamin C…which prevents scurvy. That sounds like a drink that has health benefits. At least at The Country Nook. Mimosas need no introduction, just a glass, OJ and bubbly. Party on rockstar.
